Shavuot marks the giving of the Torah on Mount Sinai. The Ten Commandments are read in synagogues around the world, just as they were in the desert on Mount Sinai over 3,300 years ago. We celebrate with a dairy meal (bring on the cheesecake) and colorful flowers.
Shavout begins at sundown on Saturday June 4, 2022 and ends at nightfall on Monday, June 6, 2022.
Yizkor is recited on Shavout, Monday, June 6, 2022.
