Honk at Haaman – Drive-in Megillah Reading
Honk at Haaman: Parking lot Megillah Reading
NEW LOCATION for Megillah Reading: at the L’Chaim Center parking lot!
In-person, In-car and Socially Distant
Thursday, February 25th at 6:30 pm
Do to unpredictable weather, we have moved the Megillah Reading to the L’Chaim Center parking lot (405 Lake Cook Road). We will hear the Megillah together with a retro drive-in style reading. Stay warm in your car, bring chairs to “tailgate” or just stand outside. However YOU want to have a good time and feel safe.
- Masks are required but costumes are not. They are definately encourged!
- No need to bring a grogger — we can HONK when we hear Haaman.
The mitzvah of hearing the Megillah read live from a Kosher scroll is a highlight of the holiday. This is a fun way to come together as a community and bring a little more joy into the holiday! We hope you can make it.
Megillah reading begins at 6:30 pm
(Parking lot line-up begins at 6:15)
