Lag BaOmer

This festive day is celebrated with bonfires and parades. It commemorates both the passing of the revered sage Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, author of the great mystical work, the Zohar, and the end of the plague during the time of the great Rabbi Akiva.

Sefirat HaOmer (Counting of the Omer) takes place from April 16th to June 4th, 2022.
