WEDNESDAYS at 3:00 pm

Now more than ever, we’re all attuned to the uncertainty of our world and the fragility of our lives. Are there truths that we can live by as we navigate our complex times?

This course will give people of all backgrounds fresh perspectives on every aspect of their lives—from birth to death, youth to old age; marriage, love, intimacy, and family; the persistent issues of career, health, pain, and suffering; and education, faith, science, and government. We will learn to bridge the divisions between accelerated technology and decelerated morality, between unprecedented global connectivity and unparalleled personal and worldwide disunity. Anchored in more than three thousand years of scholarship, the urgent relevance of these age-old truths to contemporary life has never been more manifest nor more necessary.

This course is based on the book Toward a Meaningful Life by Rabbi Simon Jacobson.
